The Mustad Autoline Coastal Systems are compact, high-performance longline solutions designed for vessels starting at 33 feet. Capable of setting and hauling anywhere from 3,000 to over 50,000 hooks per day—depending on vessel stability and deck space, these systems provide unmatched efficiency for coastal longlining. Each system is customized with a combination of machines and equipment tailored to fit your boat and specific needs.

Designed for inshore and rocky seabeds targeting demersal fish species, and seamlessly combines with other fishing gear and adapts easily to seasonal fisheries.

Mustad EZ Baiter (J-hooks): 11/0 – 14/0
Mustad #40 000 (Semi-circle/Semi EZ J-hooks)
Mustad Circle Hooks: 12/0 – 15/0 (offset & straight)

Our products

Coastal system with HandyMag storage

Storage & Organization; Hooks and lines are stored in magazines, placed in bins, racks, or other storage solutions. The storage unit is flexible and customizable to fit available space. Each magazine has a standard length of 1 meter (40 inches).

Baiting & Hauling; For baiting, magazines are manually retrieved and mounted as extensions to the baiting machine (Fig. 1: AutoBaiter with HandyMag transition rail). When emptied, they are replaced with pre-loaded magazines, and the empty ones are returned to storage.

During hauling, empty magazines are mounted as extensions to the hauling magazine on the hook separator (Fig. 2: HookSeparator with HandyMag transition rail).

NB Number of hooks per meter; Please note that quantity of hooks stated in quotes is an estimate. Quantity per meter will always depend on thickness, age and quality of the hooks and line. Consequently these given numbers are to be taken as a guideline only and not as factual numbers.
